Testimonial
“On Saturday morning, over one hundred people gathered at UBC Robson square for C3 Society’s Leadership Conference. The conference started with the speech of Mr. Raymond Chun, a successful leader in our society. After his inspirational speech, people were divided into two workshop groups: Personal Marketing and Career planning. As I signed up for personal marketing beforehand, I could meet four different people from different areas of marketing fields. They shared their own special skills about how to approach people and how to make people approach to them. This workshop actually changed my mind towards Facebook /Twitter that they are not just the places for socializing with friends but can be the essential tools for making my own personal brand. After lunch that C3 provided for us, there was a Senator Yonah Martin’s speech, who defined the leaders as people who can produce future leaders. For the last agenda for the day, 3-4 people were grouped into one mentor, and it was a very useful information session in that talking to the mentor within a small group allowed us to communicate with our mentor efficiently, and he could actually answer all the questions each individual had. Moreover, after finishing their own session, people had opportunities to talk to the other mentors and this quenched thirst for those who were still indecisive in their career choices, wishing to be familiar with various options through this workshop. This one-day long conference made me think about what the true definition of leadership is, and I strongly believe that attending this conference would definitely motivate young generations to “JoinTheLeaders” so that we can all generate our future leaders together – Sierra Lee from JoinTheLeaders West Chapter
