Jooseok Lee 이주석 (Toronto, ON)
Jooseok holds a B.A.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto. Since his years in university, Jooseok has been active in the community, serving in various executive capacities for a variety of organizations and student associations. Jooseok has been a member of the Canadian Forces since 2007 as a reserve soldier; in 2010, he completed a domestic operation training program for the G20 & G8 Summits. Currently, Jooseok is working at Roehampton Communications Ltd. as a Tower Inspector/Engineer-in-Training. Jooseok travels across the country to perform inspections, conduct analysis, and support the design of steel structures for telecommunication towers owned by various blue chip clients in wireless communications.
Jungsup Lee 이정섭 (New York, NY)
JungSup holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Waterloo with a major in Computer Science and Honours Cooperative program. He was actively involved in Korean-Canadian community by taking executive roles in University of Waterloo Korean Student Association (UWKSA). After spending several years in the consulting industry, he is focused on contributing to the community with his experience and expertise gained from working around the globe. JungSup is currently working for a consulting firm, Infusion, in New York City. He excels in application design and development with a focus on enterprise applications for the financial services sector. He has been serving many clients in a project management capacity and meets project assignments with a view to overall project success and client satisfaction.
Yongsub Eric Shin 신용섭 (France)

As JoinTheLeaders co-founder, Yongsub thrives to build a strong network among young professionals and students, spanning the entire North American continent and further to the world. Not only for the development of Korean-Canadian community, also for every individual community members' leadership development, Yongsub wishes to meet more bright-minded community enthusiasts as much as he wishes JoinTheLeaders team to grow. With his background experience from serving as Vice President at University of Waterloo Korean Students' Association (UWKSA) and an active member at Korean-Canadian Scholarship Foundation Student Development Committee (KCSF-SDC), Yongsub plans to develop his skills to help younger generation in our beloved community and grow together. He was also one of 90 overseas Korean young leaders who attended 13th Future Leaders Conference, hosted by Overseas Koreans Foundation in 2010. As a graduate from Honours Computer Science with Software Engineering option from the University of Waterloo, Yongsub has provided professional IT consulting services to various companies such as Bank of Montreal, Credit Suisse, BC Hydro, etc.. He is currently pursuing MBA degree at INSEAD.
Hyungbin Kim 김형빈 (France)
Hyungbin Kim has a vision of creating a professional network that would help young Korea Canadians to be successful in their respective industry and academia. Since the inception of the group, he focused on building a community organization that would create and support such network so that a next generation of great leaders can be developed. He is currently an INSEAD MBA candidate for 2012. Prior to the school, he was a consulting actuary at Ernst & Young in Boston Office serving large US, Canada and international insurance clients, providing advisory services around merger & acquisition, securitization and financial reporting. He graduated from University of Waterloo and was a visiting student at Harvard University.
Joseph Kim 김요셉 (Toronto, ON)
As a part of JoinTheLeaders.com, Joseph desires to contribute his commitment in the development of an international network for young Korean professionals and students. Through his internship experiences in banking, consulting, and actuarial industries, he recognized the need for a strong network among Korean-Canadian professionals like other JoinTheLeaders members did. As a graduate from Honours Mathematics with major in Actuarial Science with Finance Option in University of Waterloo, he is currently working as a professional actuary in Toronto. In the university, he had been actively seeking for opportunities to improve network and leadership skills for other students and himself. He served as a Vice President of External Affairs at Korean Students Association (UWKSA) and a senior executive of UW DECA, a university chapter of an international organization (DECA U) aimed at preparing university student for a variety of careers.
Sarah Yoon 윤선아 (Toronto, ON)
For the past few years, Sarah served as a senior executive of UT F.O.C.U.S (U of T Federation of Charitable University Students) providing fundraising, volunteer, as well as social activities for fellow students. She believes that by working closely together, enthusiastic young Korean Canadian leaders can be successful in contributing to the Korean Canadian society as a whole, in hopes of improving the community for the future generations.

Hyunwoo Lim 임현우 (Toronto, ON)
Hyunwoo graduated from University of Waterloo majoring in Systems Design Engineering with Management Science option. He is currently a Trading Services Analyst at BMO Capital Market and actively involved with managing technical systems in financial industry. At JoinTheLeaders, he hopes to help the team integrate innovative technology into the Korean Canadian community and manage creative projects and communication. He is very enthusiastic about creating a national wide network for Korean leaders in the Canadian society.
Steve Ha 하승수 (Toronto, ON)
Seungsoo (Steve) was the secretary of University of Waterloo Korean Students Association (UWKSA) during 2005- 2006. He participated in various activities with the executive team. Steve is working as an analyst at Accenture Business Service of Utilities in Vancouver. Steve serves as a canvasser for United Ways for Accenture to get people involved in the community and raise money. He is currently working towards his CGA (Certified General Accountant) designation. Steve wants to incorporate all of the Korean communities into one, the hub and develop a strong connection between each and all of the Korean Canadian organizations. He also believes in the success of bringing Korean Canadians together and building a national wide Korea- Canadian Community.
Kevin Kim 김태영 (Toronto, ON)
Kevin is passionate about helping young Korean students and professionals develop into their own and succeed in western culture. Understanding that extra support might be needed in this adventure, he is currently acting Vice President of the University of Western Ontario Korean Alumni Association (UWO KAA) and has a particular interest in formal and informal mentoring opportunities. Appreciating diversity across different languages, he has been involved as the President of the University Multilingual Association while studying for his degree at the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. Kevin currently works for IBM Canada Ltd. as a Senior Consultant. He is primarily involved in full cycle business system implementations, specifically business process designs, system configuration, and workshop presentations. Kevin is excited to be part of JoinTheLeaders and is fully dedicated to its continuous growth. Fighting!
Patrick Park 박준우 (Toronto, ON)
Patrick is a recent graduate from University of Waterloo and he holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer Engineering with Management Science Option. He is currently working as an analyst under asset liability management department at Manulife Financial in Toronto office. He started to participate in community services via Legion of Marie where he volunteered at retirement homes, soup kitchens, and street patrolled with other volunteers. From his undergraduate internship opportunities, he learned importance of leaderships and networking within the Korean Canadian society. As a JoinTheLeaders intern, He wishes to aid the group to create a strong network among passionate Korean professionals from different industries.
Solbi Hong 홍솔비 (Toronto, ON)

Solbi recently graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a major in accounting, where she was actively involved as an interviewer for committees, a case writer for Leadership in Business Conference and a part of Residence Council. Before joining Deloitte's tax practice, she gained experience in finance while creating investment analysis reports for projects at the Parliament. She believes in working together to contribute new ideas and fresh approaches to develop valuable friendship and network that will shape the future of Korean communities in North America.
Jung Won Park 박정원 (Toronto, ON)
Jungwon is in 3rd year advertising design in OCAD University in Toronto. JungWon taught children drawings and paintings in the Living Art Centre in Mississauga when she was in high school. She also created a website to encouraging teenagers who were struggling with peer pressure, which highly influenced her when she created her own website: missparkthegreat.com. She also spent her 2010 summer in Korea by working as an intern at an ad agency called Grape Communication, which was famous with ads for Seoul Milk, BC Card, Samsonite, etc. JungWon is extremely attracted to creating ads, and looking forward to becoming a creative director.
Rosa Lee 이규원 (Toronto, ON)
Rosa is currently a second year undergraduate student doing an Arts and Science combined honours with Psychology, Neuroscience and Behavioral at McMaster University. Her passion is medicine and hopes to further her studies in the field of medicine upon graduation. Rosa immigrated to Canada in 2001, and understands the hardships that many Korean-Canadians face. She would like to see JoinTheLeaders create a positive change and improvement to the Korean-Canadian community in order to creater a brighter future for them. Rosa is very excited to be a part of JoinTheLeaders!
Danny Chung 정석호 (New York, NY)
Danny recently graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Honours Systems Design Engineering program with Management Sciences Option at University of Waterloo. He is currently working in New York in the field of business intelligence and data analytics, and has previously worked as an intern in the areas of technology consulting and software development. Danny's interest lies in managing data and applying it in the most creative ways to improve business decisions at all levels. His vision is to differentiate JoinTheLeaders by working to improve the technological foundation of the organization, promoting the talent of individual members to the Korean community groups in North America, and taking initiative to reach out to young Korean professionals and students seeking involvement.
Scott Kim 김승영 (Philadelphia, PA)

Scott Kim graduated from the University of British Columbia with Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology. During 10 years of his life in Vancouver, he was actively involved with various activities from C3 Society to interconnect Korean-Canadians, and improve our presence in Canadian Society. In 2009, he moved to Philadelphia to study Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania. Currently, he is the president of Korean Student Dental Association(KSDA) at Penn, representing a hundred Korean faculties, residents, local alumni, and dental students at Penn Dental Medicine. He is also dedicated to local community, especially to the oral health of children, by working closely with the Southeast Pennsylvania Oral Health Task Force, and with research at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Proud to be a part of the JoinTheLeaders, he dreams to build powerful network among Korean professionals that will become invaluable asset to Korean community, and provide exclusive blueprints for the future generations.
Jeein Im 임지인 (Toronto, ON)
Jeein has recently graduated from Schulich School of Business at York University with specialization in accounting and is now working at Deloitte as a tax analyst, pursuing her CA designation. She had been involved with Schulich's case competition organizing committee as a director and had been part of the consulting club as an executive, organizing different events and managing the activities for the club. As a member of JTL team, she wishes to contribute to building a strong young Korean professional community in North America by fostering leadership and teamwork opportunities.
Steven Hong 홍성준 (Toronto, ON)

Steven has a desire of providing strong networking opportunities for young Korean professionals and students to allow them to learn more about different career paths and work toward their dreams. By being part of JoinTheLeaders, Steven hopes to motivate people to be more involved in community activities and build a strong Korean-Canadian social network. Steven holds a Bachlelor of Mathematics in Honours Mathematics/Financial Analysis and Risk Management from University of Waterloo. He is currently an Analyst at KPMG’s Transactions & Restructuring Valuations practice which conducts valuations of companies and complex financial instruments for numerous purposes including, financial reporting, securities law requirements and acquisition transactions.

Chris Heebum Lee 이희범 (Vancouver, BC)
Chris Heebum Lee graduated from University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree majoring in civil engineering, with a structural engineering background. Chris is currently working as a building enclosure/science engineer at Spratt Emanuel Engineering in Vancouver. He is involved in failure investigations of many types of buildings, as well as contract administration and project management of remedial construction projects. His interest in promoting leadership and networking in Korean-Canadian community has led him to apply to JoinTheLeaders. With his involvement in JoinTheLeaders’s ‘Follow the Leaders’ project, he now hopes someday to present JoinTheLeaders to the global community and learn of the ways how the world in general views ‘leadership’.
Minha Ha 하민하 (Calgary, AB)
Minha is an MA candidate in Education from University of Calgary, where she became actively involved in its community especially through student leadership development initiatives. These included program development and creating partnerships between faculty, students, local organisations and programs for knowledge exchange and talent development. Her current work involves developing and coordinating the SELECT Program at McMaster Engineering Faculty, with two overarching themes of student leadership and community. Minha is passionate about creating an experiential learning environment that makes sound connection between theory and practice with systems thinking, where groups of individuals work together to address meaningful, complex issues. As a member of JoinTheLeaders, Minha aims at continued involvement with Follow The Leaders Project, along with exploring further opportunities for engaging young people in the Korean community.
Hyunjun Park 박헌준 (Calgary, AB)
Hyunjun graduated from the University of Waterloo, majoring in Chemical Engineering. He is currently employed by Suncor Energy Inc as a Process Engineer in Fort McMurray. Hyunjun has been involved in many events and services closely linked to the Korean student's association throughout his post-secondary school years. He has organized information sessions for association members regarding career paths and goal within engineering, and participated as a speaker representing engineering in numerous community wide school information sessions. Hyunjun wishes to provide guidance and mentorship to students and future leaders of the Korean-Canadian society to thrive and become winners. He sees FTL program as an opportunity and a very positive first step towards building the foundation of a much more influential Korean-Canadian initiative within Canada.
James Choi 최재원 (Vancouver, BC)
James currently holds a Bachelor of Science and is working on his Doctor of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. He would like to see JoinTheLeaders become the hub of the Korean-Canadian community and help its members to connect with each other. Furthermore, James would like to develop leadership skills in its members and ensure that Korean-Canadians becomes the leaders of tomorrow.
Brian Hansol Kang 강한솔 (Vancouver, BC)
Brian Kang started to serve the community by volunteering to help homeless people in Korea. After moving to Canada, while he was in university, he continued to be engaged in community service by participating mentorship program and being a founding member of UBC Catholic Korean Students Society. Brian is thrilled to build up the foundation of the network for the Korean Canadian young professionals. He wishes not only to help Korean community to grow bigger in Canadian society but also to develop his own skills to be able to motivate younger generations to take initiatives. He is working in the software engineering/Network field in Vancouver area after graduating UBC with Computer Science combined with Mathematics degree.
Stella Chun 전소영 (Vancouver, BC)
Stella Chun has been actively involved in the community since high school. In university, she started to become more involved with the Korean-Canadian community by taking executive roles in University of Ottawa Korean Student's Association (UOKSA) and in Korean Students' Association of Canada (KSAC). In UOKSA, she took on initiative to start new events for UOKSA, some of which became an annual event such as Cocktail Party. Stella has also been working hard to network with other Koreans by attending events and conferences such as YGTLC and YGF, where she gained valuable knowledge and skills that can be brought back to the Korean Canadian community.
Philip Kim 김도윤 (Los Angeles, CA)
Philip Do Yoon Kim graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree majoring in civil engineering. He is currently working as a building enclosure/science engineer at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger based out of LA. He has been involved in the designs, investigations and administration of construction of many high profile projects located in Vancouver, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Denver, and San Francisco. Philip is excited at the opportunity to network Korean-Canadians and to help develop an organization that is viewed upon positively not only by the Korean-Canadian community, but also the overall Canadian community.
Alice Kim 김유현 (Vancouver, BC)
Alice Kim graduated from UBC with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Mathematics with a minor in Psychology. She has pursued her dream of being an educator by completing a Bachelor of Education at UBC and is currently working as a high school mathematics teacher in the Langley School District. She has been actively involved in youth leadership development through various work and volunteer experiences such as the Youth Leadership Program. She hopes to make contributions to the Korean-Canadian community through the activities of JoinTheLeaders. By connecting the existing Korean-Canadian organizations, she aims to provide more opportunities for members of the Korean community to expand their social network and develop leadership skills.
Sierra Lee 이시륜 (Vancouver, BC)
She graduated from the University of British Columbia with Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Mathematics. During her undergraduate, she worked as a TA and research assistant in UBC Structured Surface Physics laboratory. She's been volunteering at local care center since 2003. She is currently doing a research in mathematics department as a recipient of NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award. She believes Koreans possess distinctly unified collectiveness that can lead them to establish the strong Korean-Canadian network, and she hopes that she can motivate people to bring out this potential in them through JoinTheLeaders.
Susan Hwang 황수진 (Vancouver, BC)

Susan is a UBC Sauder School of Business BCom graduate with Audit and M&A advisory experiences. She is currently working as an Audit Senior at Deloitte in Vancouver. Susan's pursuit of creating a better community has included directing UBC Tax Assistance Clinic for Students as the Co-Chair and Advisor, participating and promoting UBC CUS Murder Mystery Musical to raise funds for homeless individuals as the Lead Actress, and managing sales and finance for CUS Yearbook Committee as VP Finance. Her passion and interest in developing talent is reflected in her past involvement with UBC CUS High School Ambassador Program, CUS Commerce Mentorship Program, Camp Korea, and UBC Buddy and Exchange Program. Her extensive community involvement was recognized through Vancouver Korean Canadian Scholarship Foundation Scholarship Award, CUS Service Awards, and Best Female Mentor Award from UBC Commerce Mentorship Program. Through KCDLC, Susan hopes to contribute to creating a Korean Canadian community where every Korean Candian young professional is proudly recognized as a respected leader in our community.
Paul Lee 이아형 (Vancouver, BC)

Paul completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario with Honours in Business Administration. Paul is passionate about community development – he organized development missions to Winnipeg and Panama while studying at Western, where he worked with the local leaders to create a more self-sustaining community. Paul is currently working for a management consultancy, SECOR, in its Vancouver office. His primary focus is on business intelligence, performance improvement and scenario planning in the natural resources industry and public sector. Paul is a firm-believer in mentorship, collaboration and networking; he believes that effective mentorship, working collaboratively as a community and connecting today's leaders with leaders of tomorrow will create the synergetic Overseas Korean communities as envisioned by the members of JoinTheLeaders. Paul is über excited about the seemingly small, yet impactful changes that JoinTheLeaders will bring to the Korean-Canadian community at large!
Jason Park 박주완 (Vancouver, BC)

Having grown up in Vancouver, Jason lived in Toronto, Korea, and Kamloops for a portion of his young adult life before returning back to Vancouver in 2010 to finally settle down, at least for now. He is a senior student at UBC pursuing Interdisciplinary Studies with primary focuses in Economics and Political Science with a minor in Commerce. Whether in community, sports, or politics, Jason enjoys being active and meeting new people. He was the vice-president at York University Korean Student Association in Toronto. He has worked as an English teacher in Korea through Teach and Learn in Korea program and worked closely with underprivileged children in rural areas of Jeju Island. In Kamloops, he was an executive at Students in Free Enterprise TRU and a project manager for the Dollars and Sense Project which resulted in 1st place finish at the 2010 ACE Western Canada Regionals competition for HSBC Financial Literacy Category. In Vancouver, he worked closely with UBC Young Liberals and MP Joyce Murray of Vancouver Quadra to reach out to the Korean community and 2011 Federal Election campaign. Jason has played ice hockey since he was 12 and won the city championship with the Vancouver Thunderbirds during his high school years. He is also a lifeguard and enjoys playing basketball.
